Red boot rally hits Byron Bay

THE Audi Red Boot Rally, aimed at raising money for the construction of the new Ronald McDonald House at Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in South Brisbane, will hit Byron Bay tomorrow afternoon around 3pm with 18 high performance vehicles driven by some Australian sporting legends.

Drivers will include Rugby League legends Scott Prince and Gorden Tallis, former V8 Supercar driver Russell Ingall and ex AFL star Spida Everitt.

While in Byron Bay Town Centre, the Rally teams take part in a thirty minute busking challenge where teams will dress up in costumes and perform.

The Audi Red Boot Rally is aiming to exceed 2014's fundraising amount of more than $300,000 to support the construction of the new Ronald McDonald House at the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in South Brisbane.

Each car captain has committed to raising a minimum of $15,000 for the charity to be able to take part.

The new Ronald McDonald House South Brisbane will feature 13 levels accommodating guest rooms, community areas, outdoor garden and playground, roof top recreation and function space, along with shelled flooring to provide for future growth.
