Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes calls Abbott 'a tit'
BELOVED Harry Potter star and beloved British-Australian actress Miriam Margolyes has delivered a one-word takedown of Prime Minister Tony Abbott, after once describing former PM Bob Hawke as "ravishing".
Unfortunately, her description of Mr Abbott was a touch less flattering:
"I think he's a tit," she said.
Fellow panellist, Assistant Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, shone a more positive light on his leader, describing him as a "decent" father, husband and community member.
It was not the only quip from Ms Margolyes on the ABC panel show, she also spoke candidly about her hatred for anti-semitism.
Margolyes, who is Jewish herself said:
"People don't like Jews"
"It's not comfortable to say that and it's not comfortable to hear it. But I believe it to be true.
"Antisemitism is a rotten thing. It's an ignorant, stupid, horrible thing. As is anti-Muslim feeling. They have to be together."
Ms Margolyes and Mr Frydenberg shared the panel with Labor MP and shadow assistant treasurer Andrew Leigh, Trisha Jha from the Centre for Independent Studies and Mamamia editor-in-chief Jamila Rizvi,
