Camp Quality Fundraiser in Byron Bay

BYRON Shire News will host a fundraising morning tea next Wednesday, August 27.

The fundraiser will be held at the Byron Bay Services Club from 10am and will raise money for Camp Quality.

Byron News' parent company Australian Regional Media (ARM) has partnered with Camp Quality for the next 12 months and will provide media and advertising support.

To kick off the partnership, ARM is promoting Camp Quality's national campaign, Dine at Mine.

Businesses are asked to host a dining event and donate the money that normally would have been spent on dining out to Camp Quality.

Host a Dine at Mine at the office, at home, for your family or friends.

ARM CEO Neil Monaghan said the goal was to send 10 children to their very first camp.

"That's a total of $8,800 and I'm encouraging some healthy inner workplace competition to help us achieve our target," he said.

Byron Shire News sales manager Deb Milgate said the newspaper was only too happy to help.

"To this end we have organised a morning tea at the Byron Bay Services Club and hope that everyone will come along and support such a great cause," she said.

"There'll be a wonderful morning tea courtesy of the Club and we'll have a raffle as well."

Cost is $12 per person. There's no need to RSVP, just turn up at the Club.
