THE dramatic moment three children were pulled out of a sinking 4x4 caught in flood water just moments before it went under has been caught on camera.

Scott Swinford, 30, from Southend, was driving underneath a railway bridge in Hockley, Essex, when his car was caught in a flash flood after more than a month's worth of rain fell in just a few hours on Sunday.

Hannah King, 22, and Emma Burles, 26, saw Mr Swinford and three children trapped in the Mitsubishi Pajero which was starting to sink and jumped into the flood water to save them.

With the help of Jordan McNulty, 21, they managed to pull Mr Swinford, his eight-year-old son Reece, his niece Jessica, six, and four-year-old nephew Alfie to safety just twenty seconds before the entire car was submerged by water.
