British Labor leader sacks key MP in wake of Brexit
BRITISH Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is on shaky ground after sacking shadow foreign secretary Hilary Benn in the wake of the UK's Brexit referendum.
UK media reported Mr Benn revealed he had been dismissed after telling Mr Corbyn he had "lost confidence in his ability to lead the party".
"In particular, there is no confidence in our ability to win the next election, which may come much sooner than expected if Jeremy continues as leader," he was quoted as saying.
Most members of the shadow cabinet reportedly believe Mr Corbyn should quit after backing the losing Remain side in the referendum.
